As a professional, your role is to provide students with real-world exposure to your career path and work environment. We refer to Professionals as Mentors because that is their core duty.

Provide a Job Shadowing Experience

  • Host a student (or a small group) to observe your day-to-day tasks.
  • Share insights into your role, your career journey, and the projects you have completed.
  • Explain common tools, challenges, and achievements in your industry.
  • Answer student questions to support their understanding and curiosity.

Be Flexible in Your Involvement

  •  Job shadowing can range from 2 hours to 5 days, depending on your:
    – Availability
    – Industry requirements
    – Willingness to engage further
  •  You can host sessions in-person, virtually, or hybridc

Support Future Talent (Optional)

  • If a student shows strong interest or potential, you are free to:
    – Offer informal mentorship.
    – Refer them to internship/vacation work/permanent or part-time job opportunities in your company or network.
    – Continue guiding them through career growth conversations.
